Samsung Galaxy S3: How to Delete Single or Entire Conversation Thread Text Message

Delete some messages, either text messages or multimedia messages is one of things that you can do to free up some space on the phone's storage. Luckily, there is an option in the Messaging apps which will allow you to set your phone to automatically delete old message when they reached the limit.

Aside from setting your Samsung Galaxy SIII to automatically delete old message, in this phone you can also manually delete text messages easily, either deleting a single text message or deleting entire conversation thread.


How to delete single or entire thread SMS?
Below are the steps to do so:
  1. Go to Apps through the Home screen.
  2. Tap Messaging apps.
  3. To delete a single text message, do as follow:
    • Tap the required thread contains the text message you wish to delete.
    • Tap and hold the desired text message.
    • On pop up menu select Delete message.
    • Tap OK button to confirm deleting the message.
  4. To delete thread, do as follow:
    • Tap and hold the desired conversation thread you wish to delete.
    • On pop up menu select Delete thread.
    • Tap OK button to confirm deleting the thread.
  5. The message has been deleted.
  6. Tap Home button to return to the Home screen.

By knowing how to manually delete individual text message or the entire conversation thread, now you can delete text message you want with ease.
