Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Take a Screenshot in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

As same as the older Samsung Galaxy S phones, Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge also has the ability to capture the screen, lets you easily save what's on your screen as image and share it to others. You can take a screenshot either by using physical button combinations or by using your palm.

How to take a screenshot by using physical button combinations?
Since it's a default feature, you can use this method to take a screenshot without you have to turn on any feature first. As the example, we'll take a screenshot of an article in a webpage using physical button combinations by using the following steps:
  1. Open Internet app and then open a webpage.
  2. Press the Power key and the Home key simultaneously until you hear the shutter sound.
  3. The screenshot has been taken and will be saved in the Screenshot album in your Gallery app.

How to take a screenshot by using your palm?
If you'd like using a simpler way to take a screenshot than using the keys, you can set your phone to let you do so by swiping your palm across the screen. As the example, we'll take a screenshot of an article in a webpage using the palm swipe to capture feature by using the following steps:
  1. Before you can take a screenshot by using your palm, you have to enable the palm swipe to capture feature first with these steps:
    • While the screen is unlocked, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap at the top right to go to the settings menu.
    • Scroll down to the Device section and then tap Motions and gestures.
    • Slide the ON/OFF switch next to Palm swipe to capture to the right to enable the palm swipe to capture feature. The switch turns green when it's enabled.
  2. Now, open Internet app and then open a webpage.
  3. Place the edge of your palm on the screen and then swipe it across the screen from side to side until you hear the shutter sound.
  4. The screenshot has been taken and will be saved in the Screenshot album in your Gallery app.
