Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge: How to Enable or Disable New Text Messages Vibration Feature in Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

If you need an extra notification so you can easily know when you have new text messages in certain condition, e.g., when you're carrying your Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge in your pocket or handbag, when you're in a noisy environment, etc., you can enable the text message vibration feature so your phone will give you a vibration feedback when receiving new messages.

How to turn on or off the new text message vibration feature?
Assuming that the sound profile in your phone is set to Sound or Vibrate, you can turn on or off this feature by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Messages app.
  2. Tap More at the top right and then select Settings.
  3. Tap Notifications. If notifications is off, tap the ON/OFF switch to turn it on. The switch turns green when it's enabled.
  4. Tap the ON/OFF switch next to Vibrations to enable or disable this option. When the switch turns green , means the vibration notification for new text messages is enabled and your phone will vibrate when receiving new messages.
