Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: How to Adjust Volume Level in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

When your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge is in the sound mode, you can adjust the volume level for call ringtone, media(music, video, games, etc.), notifications, and system sound(touch sound, keyboard sound, etc.) according to your need. As the example, you can raise the call ringtone volume when you're in a noisy environment so you can easily know when you have calls, you can lower the media volume when playing games so its sound won't disturb others, etc.

How to adjust the volume level?
You can do so by using two different methods: from the settings menu and by using the Volume key.

Method #1: From the settings menu
  1. On any screen, swipe down the top of the screen to open up the notification panel and then tap to go to the settings menu.
  2. Scroll down the screen to find Sounds and vibration and then tap it.
  3. Tap Volume.
  4. To adjust the volume level, slide the volume adjustment bar of the Ringtone, Media, Notifications, and System to the left to lower the volume or to the right to raise the volume.

Method #2: By using the Volume key
  1. On any screen, press the Volume up key or the Volume down key. If you're playing a music or watching a video, it will automatically adjust the playback volume. If you're not, it will automatically adjust the ringtone volume.
  2. Tap to view the volume settings.
  3. To adjust the volume level, slide the volume adjustment bar of the Ringtone, Media, Notifications, and System to the left to lower the volume or to the right to raise the volume.
