Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge: How to Enable and Use Tap to Take Pictures Feature in Camera App in Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow

If you often have difficulty to get well-focused photos when taking your self-portrait photo with your Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, you can enable the tap to take pictures feature in the Camera app to have your phone changes the focus and takes the photo at the same time when you tap the image on the preview screen.


How to enable or disable the tap to take pictures feature in the Camera app?
You can turn on or off this feature by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Camera app. By default, it uses the rear camera.
  2. Tap to switch the camera from the rear to the front.
  3. Tap at the top left corner of the screen to view more detailed settings for the front camera.
  4. Tap Shooting methods(front).
  5. Tap the ON/OFF switch next to Tap to take pictures to enable or disable this option. When the switch turns , means the tap to take pictures feature is enabled.


How to use the tap to take pictures feature when taking a self-portrait photo in the Camera app?
As the example, we'll use this feature to easily take selfies by using the following steps:
  1. Open the Camera app. By default, it uses the rear camera.
  2. Tap to switch the camera from the rear to the front.
  3. Point the camera to the object.
  4. Tap anywhere on the screen to change the focus and take a self-portrait photo at the same time.
